Merchant Steel Solutions provides cutting, processing and welding services for trade and public customers. From steel cut to length to profiled components and folded plate, speak to our team about turning your drawings and measurements into the parts you need.
Cutting & profiling
- Mild steel profiling: profiles cut from mild steel up to 200mm thick.
- Section sawing: our Kaltenbach DG750 saw can cut steel sections up to 750 × 500mm.
- Guillotine cutting: shearing capacity of up to 10mm thickness over a 3m length.
Press brake folding
Our 300-tonne down-stroking press brake has a 12ft bed, giving us the capacity to form and fold a wide range of components. Send us your material specification, thickness, bend details and dimensions so we can confirm what is achievable for your job.
Welding & fabrication
Our coded welders can undertake fillet and butt welding up to 40mm, subject to the applicable welding procedures and your project requirements. We can also provide on-site welding where required.
If your project has specific welding, inspection or documentation requirements, include these with your enquiry so we can confirm the appropriate scope before work begins.
Delivery with HIAB offload
We operate an 18-tonne lorry with HIAB offloading and an enclosed 8m loading bed, allowing us to arrange delivery ourselves. If you have an urgent requirement, contact the team to discuss availability and suitable delivery arrangements.
Delivery and offloading are subject to the load, site access and available offloading space. Please include your delivery postcode and any access restrictions when requesting a quote.
